HERBAL TREATMENT FOR HEART PROBLEMS, INFECTIONS AND VARICOSE VEINS

Heart Problems
The following is a general heart tonic which, when taken for an extended period of time, tones and strengthens the heart. It has been found useful in cases of high and low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, nervous palpitations, angina pectoris and arteriosclerosis.
6 parts Hawthorn berries
8 parts Motherwort herb
4 parts Lemon Balm herb
1 part Yarrow herb
1 part Cayenne Pepper
Infusion: 3 cups per day — may be continued for an extended period with suitable breaks in treatment
It should be noted, however, that heart and circulation disorders are matters for which professional advice should be sought.

To augment the action of the above remedy, with each dose also eat 1 fresh Garlic clove chopped and mixed with honey. (A Garlic Oil capsule may be substituted if desired.)

A dash of Cayenne Pepper powder may be included in the poultice, compress or ointment to augment its effect.

Varicose Veins

1 part Motherwort herb
1 part Hawthorn berries
3 parts Shepherd's Purse herb

Shepherd's Purse herb
Decoction: 2 cups per day for 3 weeks — repeat if necessary after suspending treatment for 2 weeks

For external application, especially to painful, swollen, inflamed or ulcerated veins:
1 part Witch Hazel leaves
1 part Plantain leaves
1 part Marigold flowers
1 part St John's Wort herb
1 part Comfrey root
Poultice, compress, ointment or oil: apply to affected area, renewing several times daily
